We shall first analyse statement (d) above, since it gives the location of mountain ranges with reference to the northern river Bhadrasomā, as it flows from the south to the north across the many mountains mentioned in (a) above. Besides, the sequence of ranges in (d) is somewhat definite and one has only to fix their relative positions on either side of the river. Once this is done, the remaining mountains contained in statement (a) and not mentioned in (d) can be easily located.
