The topography of Ketumāla and Western Ilāvṛta which, in more ancient accounts, for instance in the Mahābhārata, was included in Ketumāla, is so clearly and accurately described that one can very easily reconstruct the map of Ketumāla from the Purāṇas and check the details on a modern topographical map.
