Kaśia—1. Kuśinagara. 2. Kuśinârâ. 3. Kuśâvatî, thirty-five miles to the east of Gorakhpur, on the old channel of the Hiranyavatî or Chhoṭa Ganḍak. It was at Kuśinagara that Buddha died.
