*Mandākinī*.—Cunningham identifies this Ṛkṣa river with the modern Mandakin which forms a small tributary to the Paisundi (Paisuni) in Bundelkhand and flows by the side of the Mount Citrakūṭa (*A.S.I.R.*, XXI, 11). According to the *Bhāgavata* (V. 19. 18) and *Vāyupurāṇas* (45. 99), this river is the Gaṅgā (Ganges).
