*Pattan.*—It is a substantial village with a population of 1,500 souls in the Multai tahsil of the Betul district, C.P. It lies about 10 miles south of Multai on the Multai-Amraoti road (*E.I.*, XXIII, Pt. III, July, 1935, p. 81—*Paṭṭan Plates of Pravarasena II*).
