Khāṇḍava.—According to the *Taittirīya Āraṇyaka* (V. I. 1.), it formed one of the boundaries of Kurukṣetra. It may be identified with the famous Khāṇḍava forest of the *Mahābhārata*. This name also occurs in the *Pañcaviṃśa Brāhmaṇa* (XXV. 3, 6).
