*Drākṣārāma.*—It is the name of a village. It is described as 'the crest-jewel of the Andhra country'. It stands on the northern bank of the Iñjaram canal in the Rāmacandrapuram taluk of the east Goḍāvarī district. It is one of the most sacred places in the Goḍāvarī district with a big temple dedicated to Bhīmeśvara (*S.I.I.*, I, pp. 53, 61; *E.I.*, XXVI, Pt. I). The Coḍa king Annadeva caused the pinnacle of the temple of Bhīmeśvara to be overlaid with gold. Two *sattras* for Brahmins were founded here (cf. Sewell, *Lists of Antiquities*, I, p. 25).
