*Gaṅgāpura*.—This village is identified with the modern Saṅgūr situated at a distance of about eight miles south-west of Hāverī on the road to Sirsi in the North Kanara district. This was included in the Candraguttināḍu belonging to Goveyarājya (*E.I.*, XXIII, Pt. V, pp. 182ff.).
