Kanteru.—The Kanteru plates of Sālankāyana Vijayaskandavarman refer to this village in the Gaṇṭur taluk, Gaṇṭur district (E.I., XXV, Pt. I, January, 1939, p. 42). According to some it is situated a few miles north-east of Guṇṭur near the main road leading to Bezwada (E.I., XVIII, p. 56).
