*Pulinādu*.—It is said to be in Tyagabharaṇavaḷanādu in a 36th year record of Rājarāja, I. It is included according to some in Paduvurkottam of Jayaṅgoṇḍaśoḷa-maṇḍalam in a 4th year record of the later Choḷa king named Virarājendra. It was the western-most part of Paduvur-koṭṭam lying adjacent to the Mysore country. It comprised the whole of the modern Punganur taluk and that part of the adjoining Palamner taluk in the south which lay north of the Devarakoṇḍa and the Karaveri hill ranges.
