*Varāhavarttanī.*—It probably lies near Chicacole. The Narasimhapalli Plates of Hastivarman refer to it (E.I., XXIII, Pt. II, April, 1935, p. 65). The village of Rohaṇaki, situated in the district of Varāhavarttanī may be identified with modern Roṇaṅki, a hamlet of Siṅgupura of Chicacole taluk. The Varāhavarttanī district roughly corresponds to the coastal region between Chicacole and Tekkali. (E.I., XXIII, Pt. II, April, 1935, p. 65.)
