Hastavapra (Hastakavapra).—It is modern Hāthab, a village six miles south of Goghā in the Bhavnagar State of Kathiawar, which is known to have been under Śilāditya III. It is just opposite to the Broach district (Important Inscriptions from the Baroda State, Vol. I, p. 18). Severa Valabhi copperplate charters of the 6th century mention it as the headquarters of a district (J. Ph. Vogel, Notes on Ptolemy, B.S.O.A.S., Vol. XIV, Pt. 1).
