Vinjhātavi.—This forest comprises portions of Khandesh and Aurangabad, which lie on the south of the western extremity of the Vindhya range including Nasik. Arittha, a minister of Devānampiyatissa, who was sent to Aśoka for a branch of the Bodhi tree, had to pass through this forest while proceeding to Pāṭaliputra (Dipav., 15. 87).
