Erandapalla (mentioned in the Allahabad Pillar Inscription).—It may be identified with Eraṇḍol, the chief town of a sub-division of the same name in the Khandesh district, Bombay State (J.R.A.S., 1898, pp. 369-70). According to some it is identified with Eraṇḍapali, probably near Chicacole on the coast of Orissa, mentioned in the Siddhantam plates of Devendravarman (E.I., XII, p. 212).
