3. Mk—महेन्द्रप्रभवाः स्मृताः ; Vy, Bmd—महेन्द्रतनयाः स्मृताः. Mahendra was the name applied to the Eastern Ghats. A small river passing by Parlakimedi is called Mahendratanayā, though the said expression in our text describes the rivers as sprung from the Mahendra.
