² Buddha makes a similar statement to his bhikshus in *Ch. 26* of the Chung-a-han-ching— "In *this* are the samaṇas of the four degrees and outside of this there are not samaṇa brahmins: all other systems are void and without samaṇa brahmins". The *this* of the above extract, the *ito* and *idha* of Pali, means "my religion", Buddha's system.
