The names of the seven Ādityāḥ, if indeed that was their original number, are variously given: besides the three principal figures we find with some regularity Savitar and Bhaga, and the list may be completed by adding the feminine names of Puramdhi and Aramati, or those of the male deities Dakṣa and Amśa.
