*Alaṃkāra-candródaya* (IOC 235). This author, son of Vīreśvara (q.v.) also wrote a commentary on Bhānudatta's *Rasa-taraṅgiṇī* (q.v.). His genealogy is given thus: Mahīdhara (a mantrika of Kāśīpati)→Kalyāṇa→Lakṣmaṇa→Vīreśvara. He had the surname Śrīvara and belonged to *nāgacchatra-dhara-dvijóttama-kula*. The *Alaṃkāra-candródaya* is in 6 *ullāsas* dealing with (1) kāvya-svarūpa (2) kāvya-vibhāga (3) doṣa (4) guṇa (5) alaṃkāra and (6) upamā.
