P. 327, *l. 17*. Vāmana Bhaṭṭa Bāṇa is the real author of the work which bears the name of his patron. He also wrote the *Pārvatī-pariṇaya* (usually ascribed to Bāṇa), the bhāṇa *Śṛṅgāra-bhūṣaṇa* (ed. N. S. P.), and a *Śabdaratna-nighaṇṭu*, besides the prose *Vemabhūpāla-carita*.
