There is another and still more important passage in the Taittirîya Sanhitâ which supplies further confirmatory evidence on the same point. In the Taittirîya Sanhitâ vii. 4, 8 we have a discussion as to the time best suited for the commencement of the Satras like the gavâm-ayana which last for one whole year and as the passage is important in various ways I shall give it here in the original :—
