*Suchivanakarmani*: Apparently the techniques of sewing and weaving are intended here. The *suchivana* is divided into three processes, namely, swing (*sivanam*), darning (*utanam*) and stitching (*virachanam*). The first was used in making shirts (*kanchuka*) etc., the second in mending torn clothes and the third in quilting.
