299a आचार्यवद् गृहस्थोपि माननीयो बहुश्रुतः। अभ्यागतगुणानां च परा विद्येति मानवम्॥ वित्तं बन्धुर्वयः कर्म विद्या भवति पञ्चमी। एतानि मान्यस्थानानि गरीयो यद्यदुत्तरम्॥. The latter is मनु II. 136 and the former summarises मनु III. 77-80.
