⁵⁵³ मम नाम प्रथमं जातवेदः पिता माता च दधतुर्यदग्ने। तत्त्वं बिभृहि पुनरा मदेतोस्तवाहं नाम बिभराण्यग्ने॥ तै. सं. I. 5. 10. 1. This is differently read in other saṁhitās e. g. काठक VII. 3 reads 'दधतुर्न्वग्रे । तत्त्वं गोपाया पुनर्दै ते वयं बिभराम तव नाम. This verse is quoted in nāmakaraṇa by several sūtras, e. g. Bhār. I. 26.
