⁸⁸⁹ विज्ञानमुच्यते शिल्पं हेमकुप्यादिसंस्कृतिः । नृत्तादिकं च यत्प्राप्तुं कर्म कुर्याद्गुरोर्गृहे ॥ बृहस्पति quoted in स्मृतिच० II. p. 195. It is interesting that the मिता० on या. II. 184 regards आयुर्वेद as a शिल्प to be learnt under the apprentice system.
