⁹⁷⁹ This means:—instead of 'ओषधे त्रायस्वैनं स्वधिते मैनं हिंसीः' (आश्व. गृ. I. 17. 8-9) repeated in चौल and गोदान (by the आचार्य) the student should himself repeat the mantra as 'ओषधे त्रायस्व मां स्वधिते मा मा हिंसीः'. Instead of the mantra 'शुन्धि शिरो मुखं मास्यायुः प्रमोषीः' repeated by the आचार्य in गोदान, the student should himself say 'शुन्धि शिरो मुखं मा मे आयुः प्रमोषीः'.
