*Dakṣiṇādāna*: (gifts to the ācārya). Pār. gṛ. I. 8, Śāṅ. gṛ. I. 14. 13-17 (both prescribe a cow as the fee in the case of brāhmaṇas, a village in marriages of kings and nobles, a horse in marriages of vaiśyas &c. ). Gobhila gṛ. II. 3. 23, Baud. gṛ. I. 4. 38 speak of only a cow.
