¹⁵⁰⁸ उता यातं संगवे प्रातरह्नो मध्यन्दिन उदिता सूर्यस्य। ऋ. V. 76. 3. Here प्रातः, संगव and मध्यन्दिन are expressly named. संगव is the time of milking the cows after they return from grazing pastures to which they were taken at dawn. Vide आश्व. श्रौ. III. 12. 1-2 प्रदोषान्तो होमकालः संगवान्तः प्रातः on which the com. says ' यस्मिन्काले गावो वत्सैः सहाासते स संगवः कालः तावत्पर्यन्तं प्रातर्होमकालः'. तस्मा उद्यन्त्सूर्यो हिङ्करोति संगवः प्रस्तौति। मध्यन्दिन उद्गायत्यपराह्लः प्रतिहरत्यस्तं यन्निधनम् ॥ अथर्ववेद IX. 5. 4-5.
