²³⁴⁵ The com. on Āp. II. 6. 1 notices that in the absence of ghee made from cow's milk, ghee made from the milk of a she-buffalo or a she-goat may be used as a substitute or even sesame oil. But the mantra is the same (there is no *ūha* of the words referring to cows that occur in the mantra).
