(II. 6, p. 152) following Vedic texts, the vedi is prepared on the Paurṇamāsī day in the Purṇamāsa iṣṭi and on the previous day in the darśeṣṭi. Jaimini V. 1. 29 explains the consequences of this on the order in which the various actions are performed.
