v3.c50.35
²⁵⁰⁶ Kāt. (VI. 5. 28) says that where an animal is sacrificed in a Soma sacrifice (as the agnīṣomīya paśu or savanīya paśu in Agniṣṭoma) it is the neṣṭṛ who leads forward the wife. If the sacrificer has several wives they all are led and all repeat the formula (Vāj. VI. 12), but only one carries the water jar.
