²⁶²⁹ The mantra in Vāj. S. is अवभृथ निचङ्कुण निचेरुरसि निचङ्कुणः । अव देवैर्देवकृतमेनोऽयासिषमव मर्त्यैर्मर्त्यकृतं पुरुराव्णो देव रिषस्पाहि ।. Āp. XIII. 19. 16 following Tai. Br. II. 6. 6 reads निचङ्कुण for निच्युङ्कुण. Vide Lāṭ. II. 12. 9, where this mantra is used at the time of sprinkling oneself with water after the bath.
