²⁶³¹ In modern times no cow is sacrificed, but only āmikṣā is offered instead. Among the actions forbidden in the Kali age is the slaughter of anubandhyā. ‘यथा नियोगधर्मो नो नानुबन्ध्यावधोऽपि वा । तथोद्धारविभागोपि नैव संप्रति वर्तते ॥ quoted by the Mit. on Yāj. II. 117.
