²⁹ According to Āśv. the Śunakas have either one pravara viz. Gṛtsamada or three pravaras भार्गव-शौनहोत्रगार्त्समदेति. Āp. and Sat. state that the Gārtsamada Śunakas have only one pravara 'Gārtsamada' (and there is no option).
