⁵⁹⁶ प्रमाणैर्हेतुचरितैः शपथेन नृपाज्ञया । वादिसंप्रतिपत्त्या वा निर्णयोऽष्टविधः स्मृतः ॥ व्यास in व्यव. नि. p. 138, व्य. प्र. p. 86, शुक्रनीति IV. 5. 271 (reads षड्विधः स्मृतः). शुक्र apparently regards प्रमाणs as one.
