⁷⁴⁴ This principle is stated by the मिता. on या. .' मेधातिथि on मनु. XI. 216 puts it in the same way 'एकशास्त्रत्वात्सर्वस्मृतीनामसति विरोधे समग्रं योज्यं विरोधे तु विकल्पः'. This view is based on The word एकवाक्यता occurs in Vedāntasūtra III. 4. 24. In *Vithal v. Prahlad* 39 Bom. 373 at p. 379 this principle has been judicially recognized.
