⁷⁴⁵ On ऋणमात्मीय &c. of बृहस्पति referred to above the मिता. (on या. एतच्चोत्तरश्लोके स्पष्टयिष्यते' On the words पुत्रहीनस्य रिक्थिनः (on या II. 51) the मिता. explains: इत्येतदपि पुत्रपौत्रहीनस्य प्रपौत्रादयो यदि रिक्थं गृह्णन्ति तदा ऋणं दाप्याः नान्यथेत्येवमर्थम् । Dr. Jolly probably misunderstood 'अगृहीतधनस्य' and held it to mean 'that a great-grandson does not take the ancestral estate', but it really means 'if he has not taken &c.' The स्मृतिच.
