भोगपति—Head of a district. It occurs in the Mitākṣarā on Yāj. I. 320, in E. I. IX p. 296 at p. 298 plates of Śaṅkarkagaṇa where we read ‘anyairvāgāminṛpati-bhogapatibhiḥ’, as contrasted with a king and in ‘Antiquities of Chamba’ Ins. No. 45 at p. 166.
