⁵¹² दिनेदिनेऽञ्जलीन् पूर्णान् प्रदद्यात्प्रेतकारणात् । तावद्वृद्धिश्च कर्तव्या यावत्पिण्डः समाप्यते ॥ प्रचेतस् q. by मिता on या III. 3; 'यावदाशौचं तावत्प्रेतस्योदकं पिण्डं च दद्युः। विष्णुधर्मसूत्र 19.13 If water is offered only once a day for ten days there would be only ten añjalis in all, but if 10 were offered on each day there would be 100, if one was offered on first day and one more added on each succeeding day to the 10th there would be 55 añjalis.
