⁹⁸⁹ The मिता remarks that on the vessel turned upside down the *pavitras* covering the three vessels should be placed and unguents, flowers, incense, lamp and garment should be offered to the brāhmaṇas with the words 'पितरयं ते गन्धः' etc.
