¹¹⁷⁴ सपिण्डीकरणं तासां पुत्राभावे न विद्यते। प्रतिसंवत्सरं कार्यमेकोद्दिष्टं नरैः स्त्रिया ॥ मार्कण्डेय 28.18 on which रुद्रधर (श्राद्धविवेक p 113) says: अत्र पुत्राभाव इत्युपलक्षणं पतिपुत्राभाव इति द्रष्टव्यम् ।
