That there were several images of Keśava is expressly stated by the काशीखण्ड- 10 82 (आदिकेशवमुख्याश्च केशवा- स्त्वरितोष्य च) Prof. Altekar observes (p. 28) that the Ādikeśava-ghāṭ, once a royal favourite, is now in a dilapidated condition and is rarely visited by pilgrims.
