verse 12 of the inscription of prince (Narendra) यक्षपाल son of विश्वादित्य edited in I A. 16 at p 65. Kielhorn translates 'that wise (prince) caused to be built a temple of the inhabitants of heaven called Maunaditya ..He likewise had the famous Uttaramānasa tank dug and established a sattra (hall of charity) to last forever'. Dr. Kielhorn is wrong in his translation 'to last forever.' Dr. Barua read मानानाद्यं as one word and connects that one word with दिविषदां (vol I p 62.) One fails to understand how दिविषदां (genitive plural) is to be construed with नानाद्यं which according to Dr Barua's construction is only part of a compound word.
