¹⁴⁷⁹ It is somewhat strange that Dr. Barua (in 'Gayā and Buddhgayā' vol. I p 66) read तीर्ये वामरकण्टके in Śaṅkha and thought that Vāmarakaṇṭaka was a holy place (instead separating as वा अमरकण्टके).
