¹³⁸⁴ शूद्राश्च क्षत्रिया वैश्या अन्त्यजाश्च तथाधमाः। एते त्यजेयुः प्राणान्वै वर्जयित्वा द्विजं नृप। पतित्वा ब्राह्मणास्तत्र ब्रह्महा चात्महा भवेत्। q. by त्रिस्थली० p. 52, which remarks that these verses are not found in any authoritative source and they involve a contradiction, in as much as क्षत्रियs and वैश्यs are allowed to kill themselves though they are *dvijas*.
