v6.c82.174

⁷⁴¹ Not only was the Romaka not followed, but a comparatively early writer Brahmagupta (born 598 A. D.) condemns it as beyond the pale of *smṛtis*: I. 13 quoted by S. B. Dikshit in I. A vol. 19 pp. 133–142, where Mr. Dikshit contends that the Romaka summarised in the Pañcasiddhāntikā is different from the Romaka of Śrīṣeṇa and that the former was composed before 150 A. D.
