⁷⁹⁶ The वार्तिक is अधीष्टभृतयोर्द्वितीयानिर्देशोऽनर्थकस्तत्रादर्शनात्। (on तमधीष्टो भृतो भूतो भावी। पा V 1 80), on which पतञ्जलि explains 'न ह्यसौ मास्रमधीष्यते । किं तर्हि । मुहूर्तमसावधीष्टो मास तत्कर्म करोति ।'.
