In relation to marriage the Rājamārtanḍa⁹³⁹ says: tithi is declared to have a single value while weekday is four times as good, nakṣatra is 16 times better, *yoga* has a hundredfold result, the Sun is a thousandfold efficacious, while the Moon is efficacious one hundred thousand times; therefore leaving aside all other *balas* (astrological strengths) one should look to the strength of the Moon as (the pre-eminent) strength.
