¹³⁰⁵ It may be noted that the first verse of the Ghṛtasūkta is 'आ तू न इन्द्र क्षुमन्त चित्रं ग्राभं सं गृभाय । महाहस्ती दक्षिणेन ॥'. Here the word महाहस्ती means 'great elephant' and also 'having long or big arms' (as applied to Indra) and therefore is employed in the Gajaśānti, following the principle mentioned in note 1276 above Vide n. 1218 above about घृतसूक्त
