¹³⁰⁶ The आयुष्यसूक्त is the खिलसूक्त 'आयुष्य वर्चस्यं' occurring after Ṛg. X. 128. The अथर्वणपरिशिष्ट 32 9 p. 195 declares what the आयुष्यगण contains (from Atharvaveda). The कौशिकसूत्र 52. 18 says that Atharva I. 30. 1–4 are आयुष्याणि (conferring long life). Vide तात्पर्यदर्शन on आप गृ. V. 12. 9 which regards the (first) eight verses of the खिलसूक्त 'आयुष्यं वर्चस्य' as constituting आयुष्यसूक्त The com of Nārāyaṇa on आश्व गृ III 8. 16 (आयुष्यमिति सूक्तेन मणिं कण्ठे प्रतिमुच्य &c ) says that आयुष्यसूक्त here is the खिलसूक्त (of three verses) beginning with नेजमेष after Ṛg X 184.
