¹⁵¹³ H. Kern in his 'Manual of Buddhism' (in the Grundriss p. 122 holds that Mahāyānism is much indebted to the Bhagavad-gītā. Compare 'लभन्ते ब्रह्मनिर्वाणमृषय..' सर्वभूतहिते रताः ॥, V. 25 with the Mahāyāna view.
